High-voltage trolleys are usually used in high-voltage central cabinets, providing great convenience and safety for daily maintenance, inspection and replacement. Although the isolation trolley and the fuse trolley are very similar in appearance and function, there are some differences between them. In order to better understand the difference between them, it is first necessary to clarify what the isolation trolley and the fuse trolley are.
Timetric Electric Isolation Trolley:
The working principle and function of the isolation trolley are similar to those of the isolating switch. It is mainly used to provide an obvious disconnection point during maintenance to prevent misoperation. The isolation trolley has electrical and mechanical locking functions. When the main circuit is energized, the locking electromagnet is energized and the trolley cannot be shaken out, thereby preventing misoperation. There is a conductive rod or copper bar between the upper and lower contacts of the isolation trolley, and a visible break with the main circuit is achieved through the plum blossom contact to achieve isolation.
Timetric Electric Fuse Trolley:
The function of the fuse trolley is to pass the load current during normal power supply. When the load circuit is overloaded or short-circuited, after the current exceeds the specified value, the heat generated by the fuse itself will melt the fuse, thereby quickly cutting off the circuit. The fuse is installed on the trolley, which is convenient for replacement and greatly improves the safety of replacing the fuse.
Differences in appearance and function:
Isolation trolley: The upper and lower outgoing lines are connected to copper bars or copper rods. The main function is to provide an obvious disconnection point for maintenance personnel to safely repair. The isolation trolley is equivalent to the isolating switch of the fixed cabinet. It must be interlocked with the mother cabinet with circuit breaker. Only after the mother cabinet circuit breaker is disconnected can the isolation trolley be pulled out for maintenance.
Fuse trolley: The upper and lower outgoing lines are connected to fuses. In addition to providing an obvious disconnection point, it can also switch on and off a certain load current. It is generally used in PT cabinets, transformer cabinets, and transformer cabinets, mainly used to protect transformers and PTs.
